Romney won decisively over Obama in presidential debate: Polls | Republican candidate Mitt Romney scored an easy win over President Barack Obama in their first presidential debate in Denver, two snap polls conducted after the debate
showed. CNN/ORC and CBS News both conducted instant polls that concluded that Americans believe Romney performed better than Obama. CNN found that 67 percent
of Americans, who watched the debate, chose Romney as the winner, while 25 percent
picked Obama. CBS News’ snap poll of uncommitted voters found that 46 percent identified Romney as the winner, while 22 percent said Obama won the debate, Politico reports. The poll, however, found that nearly 32 percent Americans declared the debate a tie. According to the report, it’s part of the emerging consensus that Romney delivered a very strong performance, with even Obama aides conceding that
the GOP nominee won on ‘style’ points.
