Schumacher rubbishes retirement plan rumours post Mercedes exit | Formula One ace Michael Schumacher has dismissed claims that he maybe retiring from the motor sport despite being replaced at Mercedes by Lewis Hamilton. Schumacher
quashed rumors that he might be considering taking a break from Formula One, after
Mercedes made a sudden move to sign Hamilton for 60 million pounds.
"My motivation is completely intact, especially because Suzuka is one of the season's highlights
for me," the Daily Express quoted Schumacher, as saying of the Japanese Grand
Prix. Seven-time Formula One champion Schumacher is leaving the Brackley-based
team after recording just one podium finish since his comeback in 2010. The 43-yr-old,
who has a record 91 Grand Prix victories to his credit, will see Hamilton replacing
him at Mercedes in 2013. His exit brings a disappointing end to Schumacher's unsuccessful
career at Mercedes, and possibly, another dent to his once famous F1 record.
