Obama has significant 9-point lead over Romney in crucial swing state Ohio: Poll | US President Barack Obama has a considerable nine-point lead over Republican rival Mitt Romney in the crucial swing state of Ohio, a new poll has shown. According to the Columbus
Dispatch survey, nearly 51 percent Americans in Ohio prefer to vote for Obama,
compared to 42 percent who prefer Romney.
The Dispatch survey notes that this
is the fifth recent poll showing Romney trailing by at least five points in the
‘ Buckeye State ’. No Republican presidential candidate has ever gained victory
without winning Ohio , the Huffington Post reports. According to the report, Romney
took his pitch to Ohio last week, with his tax policy at the forefront of his
speech to middle-class voters. His first Ohio office opened in June this year,
while Obama has had a five-year presence in the state, dating back to his 2008
presidential run, the report added. |
