India set England 171-run target at World T20 | India have set a competitive 171-run target against England in their second Group A match here on Sunday. Batting first after losing the toss, India opened their innings with the left-handed duo of Gautam Gambhir and Irfan Pathan. After India lost Pathan in the third over, the innings
were consolidated by Gambhir and in-form Virat Kohli. Kohli scored 40 off 32 balls
while Gambhir contributed with 45 off 38 deliveries. Rohit Sharma top scored with
an unbeaten 55. Both India and England have qualified for the Super Eight stage.
India rested Virender Sehwag, R Ashwin and Zaheer Khan for Harbhajan Singh, Piyush
Chawla and Ashok Dinda. England brought in the seamer Tim Bresnan for the spin
of Samit Patel.
