Pak court asks ISI, MI, police officers explanation in missing persons case | The director-generals of the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and the Military Intelligence (MI), along with the top police officials of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, have been put on notice by the Peshawar High Court in the missing persons case. They were directed to explain their position about
the whereabouts of these untraced people. A division bench has issued notices
to the top brass of the spy agencies and the police officials, including Provincial
Police Officer and Chief Capital Police Officer in the cases of 17 missing persons
and fixed October 23 for the next hearing, The News reports. The bench also directed
the defence and interior ministries to check and verify the missing persons whose
cases were pending in the courts. When the court asked about the process of verification
of missing persons with the intelligence agencies, Wing Commander Irfan said they
were checking the missing persons directly with the ISI, but verifying their whereabouts
with the MI through the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi . The bench first took
up the new cases of 17 missing persons mostly filed by women against the enforced
