The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is investigating the suicide blast that occurred on a US Consulate vehicle in Peshawar in Pakistan. During a daily press briefing in Pakistan, State Department's spokeswoman Victoria Nuland said that pakistan 's Foreign Secretary Jalil Abbas Jilani has condemned the attack and prayed for the safe recovery of both American and Pakistani victims affected in the attack. According to The News, Nuland said that no one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack, and added that the United States is not going to speculate on who may be responsible. She said that whenever American personnel are involved in attacks, the United States Government does their own investigation in collaboration with its Pakistani partners. "We commend the Pakistani security officials who saved lives, including the lives of our two personnel," Nuland said.
