Bolt celebrates record with Mo Farah's trademark 'Mobot' act | Sprint legend Usain Bolt celebrated by doing his "Mobot" move after his Jamaican
team set a new world record in the 4x100 m relay in the London Olympics 2012.
The star sprinter, who grabbed his third gold, performed Mo Farah's trademark
salute by arching his hands on top of his head in an M shape, after the double
gold winner crossed the finish line. The Jamaican team of Bolt, Yohan Blake, Nesta
Carter and Michael Frater finished in a time of 36.84. According to The Telegraph,
Bolt received the baton with Jamaica already in the lead and sprinted home to
smash the previous record of 37.04 secs and Olympic record of 37.10 secs. The
same Jamaican quartet had also set the previous world record at the world championships
in Daegu last year. The result confirmed Jamaica 's dominance in sprinting events,
while the US , who came second, had also performed strongly, and their time of
37.04 secs was a national record, the paper said. Canada finished third but the
team was disqualified after a sprinter from their team ran outside of his lane,
leaving the athletes in tears, and Trinidad and Tobago were awarded the bronze
with their time of 38.12 secs, the paper added.
