Ramdev launches anti-graft agitation at Ramlila Maidan | In an endeavor to bring back black money and remove corruption, yoga guru Baba Ramdev began his agitation at the Ramlila Maidan in New Delhi on Thursday. Baba Ramdev, who paid his homage to Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi prior
to beginning the agitation, today said that his movement was for the common man of this country. "My fight is for the common man of this country. I have gone through the pains of poverty and deprivation. This agitation is decisive. I want
the people to undergo the same suffering that I went through," said Baba Ramdev. "The country is reeling through tremendous pressure. It is up to all of us to
save the nation. All signs are pointing towards success of this agitation," he added. Scores of supporters of the yoga guru have already gathered at the Ramlila
Maidan to support the cause. Baba Ramdev had earlier on Wednesday said that he
has no political ambitions, and added that his main mission is to save the country
by bringing back black money stashed in safe havens abroad. Baba Ramdev, who has
so far been at loggerheads with the ruling UPA Government, is expected to put
forward various issues during his indefinite agitation such as making the CBI
independent and the Lokpal Bill.
