Pakistan Prime Minister's Adviser on Interior Rehman Malik has branded the JuD-led Difa-e-Pakistan Council (DPC), including its chief, Mumbai mastermind, Hafeez Saeed 'patriotic citizens' of Pakistan . "They (DPC) are patriotic Pakistanis and they want to register their protest and we have given permission to them to do it peacefully," the Daily Times quoted Malik, as saying. The Pakistan federal government has made elaborate arrangements for the security of the DPC protesters in the twin cities, but has banned entry of banned organisations into Islamabad . Rehman Malik said an elaborate security plan had been put in place for the security of the protesters, agitating against the government's decision to reopen NATO supply lines into Afghanistan , following an apology by the US over the deadly NATO airstrikes at Salala air base that killed scores of Pakistani soldiers. However, Malik said members of banned organisations would be arrested if they tried to enter Islamabad . The federal government has decided to seal all the entry points of Islamabad , as the long march is scheduled to reach Islamabad by Monday. A meeting, chaired by Malik, to review the security arrangements for the long march, also requested the DPC to ensure that participants of the procession carry no weapons.
