Jayalalithaa urges Centre to send back Lankan Air Force personnel | | The Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa,
on Thursday, urged the Centre to immediately send back nine Sri Lankan Air Force
personnel, currently training at the Tambaram Airforce Station here. Jayalalithaa,
in a statement, condemned the Centre for allowing Lankan Air Force personnel to
undergo the nine-month training. Referring to the earlier steps taken by her Government
on the Sri Lankan issue, she said that training in India was directly against
the cause of the Sri Lankan Tamils.
