Djokovic says facing Federer in Wimbledon 'ultimate challenge'

World number one tennis player Novak Djokovic has said playing ace Roger Federer in the Centre Court of Wimbledon is the ultimate challenge, but also expressed confidence of retaining his title this year. Djokovic dispatched German Florian Mayer 6-4, 6-1, 6-4 with consummate professionalism in the quarterfinal of Wimbledon to set up a classic encounter with king of grass, Federer. "What he's done in the period of seven, eight years says enough. I mean, he has won the most grand slams in history. He's rated probably as the best player in history. He has won everything that a tennis player can win," The Telegraph quoted Djokovic, as saying. "And he's still coming back for more," he added. Djokovic also said he is more confident of winning the Wimbledon than the last year, and added that his frame of mind is very positive mow. "I'm equally confident this year. I've been playing really well, constantly well, from the start of the tournament. My mindset is very positive," Djokovic said. When Djokovic was in the middle of his unreal run of form last year, he lost a modern classic to Federer who was at his genie-like finest at Roland Garros, and accepts that grass is the former champion's best surface. "Most of our matches are very close, with very few points deciding the winner. I won two years in a row against him from match points down," said Djokovic.
