Arsalan Iftikhar's three foreign tours. According to The News, Arsalan had reportedly
assured Riaz that he would settle the cases fought in his father's court in favour
of Bahria Town, in return for the trips that however, did not happen. The documents
presented in the court showed that Arsalan's first visit in 2010 cost a total
of Rs 8, 860,579, which included ticket fares, a tour to Monte Carlo, car and
flat rental fees and shopping. The second tour that took place in 2011 cost Rs
692,949, and one in 2010 cost Rs 5,947,726. All the visits were made to London. The statement said that Rs 327,000,000 was also paid in cash to Arsalan on various
accounts. In his affidavit, Riaz reiterated that he was being "blackmailed" by
Arsalan and was forced into going public. He declined any involvement of any political
party or the Army in the entire case. Riaz also challenged the suo moto notice
taken by the chief justice, and also blamed Arsalan of blackmailing his son-in-law
and extorting money from him.
