UPA-II's three years: Mamata, Karunanidhi skip PM's dinner | The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, hosted a dinner at his
official 7, Race Course Road (7RCR) residence here this evening to mark the United
Progressive Alliance (UPA) Government's three years in office. West Bengal Chief
Minister and Trinamool Congress (TMC) chief Mamata Banerjee, DMK's M. Karunanidhi
and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati were, however, not present in the
dinner hosted by the Prime Minister. TMC leader Saugata Roy was present on behalf
of Banerjee, while T.R. Baalu represented Karunanidhi. Samajwadi Party (SP) chief
Mulayam Singh Yadav was amongst those present at the Prime Minister's residence.
The menu for the dinner was keoti dal, peh biryani, gajar matar, dum aaloo kashmiri,
chicken chettinad, fish malabari, gosht burrah kebab, jhinga kasaundi and jalebi
with rabri.
