Lalu takes potshots at MCA over SRK's Wankhede ban |
Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav on Friday once again backed Kolkata Knight
Riders co-owner Shah Rukh Khan, saying the latest developments related to the
Wankhede Stadium brawl is an attempt on the part of the Mumbai Cricket Association
(MCA) to insult the Bollywood actor. "This is wrong on part of the MCA. It is
an attempt to insult him. I would advise Shah Rukh Khan to focus on his films
rather than cricket," he said. Yadav had earlier on Thursday said that all people
entering the stadium should be properly investigated, including Shah Rukh. "All
people who come to the stadium either to watch the match or for participation
should be properly investigated, whether it is Shah Rukh Khan or anybody else.
You all not aware of Shah Rukh's version of the matter, just speaking what is
being told. All people, who come to the stadium after consuming liquor, should
be properly investigated," said Yadav. "Does Shah Rukh only smoke a cigarette?
I had earlier asked Shah Rukh to quit smoking for it is injurious to health,"
he added. When asked to comment on Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) player Luke
Pomersbach arrested for allegedly misbehaving with an Indian-American woman in
the Maurya Sheraton Hotel, Yadav said: "The IPL should be closed." A case of molestation
and hurt has been registered against Pomersbach.
