RCB owner Vijay Mallya sacks Pomersbach after molestation incident

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) owner Vijay Mallya has expressed his disappointment over the alleged molestation incident involving one of the squad's players, Luke Pomersbach, and said that the latter has been sacked and will never play for RCB again. Speaking outside Parliament, Mallya said that strict action should be taken against Pomersbach as per the law, and confirmed that the RCB management would cooperate with the investigation. He said that Pomersbach should be booked for his crime. Meanwhile, Pomersbach has undergone medical tests at the Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital and is in the custody of Delhi Police. Pomersbach, who has had run-ins with the law on two previous occasions in Australia , is said to have molested an Indian-American woman and thrashed and severely injured her fiancee. Speaking on condition of anonymity, the woman confirmed that Pomersbach joined her and her fiancee at the bar of the Maurya Sheraton Hotel for a drink and then tagged along with them to their room. The Indian-American woman revealed that she felt extremely uncomfortable in Pomersbach's presence, saying that he was staring at her, giving "dirty nasty looks", while talking to her fiancee. She said she told her fiancee that she was going to bed, and told him that if he and Pomersbach wanted to chill out further, they could do so. She said that as she was leaving the room, Pomersbach grabbed at her inappropriately and acted roughly with her, and molested her. She said her fiancee tried to intervene, and told Pomersbach that this was no way to treat a woman, and asked him to leave the room, and go back to his room in the same hotel. It resulted in Pomersbach thrashing and injuring him severely. The Indian-American woman said that her fiancee was admitted to a hospital with serious injuries, and told Times Now that doctors had told her that he may be suffering from brain haemorrhage and excessive bleeding. She said that she was a resident of New York and visited India often to meet with friends, and could'nt understand why she was a victim of such an incident. Pomersbach was arrested by the Delhi Police for molesting the Indian-American woman and for beating up her fiancee at a five star hotel. According to reports, Pomersbach has been charged with assaulting and outraging the modesty of a woman. Reports state that the incident took place after the IPL 5 match between Delhi Daredevils and Royal Challengers Bangalore at the after-match party.
