Steel tycoon Lakshmi Mittal retains the top spot for the eighth straight year in the annual UK’s wealthiest rich list of Sunday Times. Mittal has been personally valued at 12.7 billion pounds, while brothers Sri and Gopi Hinduja are fourth on the list, valued at 8.6 billion pounds. There are a total of 77 billionaires on the list, with individuals needing to have at least 72million pounds to make the top 1,000. Arsenal shareholder Alisher Usmanov is second with 12.3 billion pounds, while Chelsea owner and oil baron Roman Abramovich is third with 9.5 billion pounds, despite being 800 million pounds down from last year. The richest woman is former Miss UK Kirsty Bertarelli, who shares a 7.4 billion pound fortune with her husband Ernesto, while the Duke of Westminster's property is worth 7.3 billion pounds. Harry Potter creator J. K. Rowling's worth has risen from 30 million pounds last year to 560 million pounds, putting her 148th on the list.
