Nitish surrendered before MNS, alleges Lalu Yadav

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad Yadav on Monday accused Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar of hurting the prestige and esteem of the state by surrendering before Maharashtra Navniran Sena (MNS) leaders during his recent visit to Mumbai to participate in the centenary celebrations. "Nitsh Kumar, BJP, RSS and Shiv Sena are all one. They fight in the manner in which husband and wife fight. Nitish has hurt the prestige and sentiments of Bihar by surrendering there. He should have talked about Bihar 's glorious history there," he said. He also took potshots at Nitish Kumar's emissary Devesh Chandra Thakur, who conveyed that the 'Bihar Divas' programme was purely socio-cultural event and politics was not on the agenda. Stating that the chief minister is full of ego, Yadav said: "He has spent crores of rupees to polish his image and caused considerable damage to Bihar . Bihar lags behind in comparison to other states." Yadav further said that corruption is still dominant in Bihar , and the law and order situation has deteriorated in the state. "The state still lags behind despite pumping so much of central funds. Corruption is dominant. The law and order situation has deteriorated. Chain snatchings take place; it's very difficult for women to move out during daytime," he said. Addressing the 'Bihar Divas' celebrations in Mumbai, Nitish Kumar said : "All of us have contributed to making Mumbai the country's financial capital and we all are proud of that fact," he said.
