Mixed signals are coming out of the camp of Kadappa Member of Parliament YS Jaganmohan Reddy on expressing regret over his television channel's attacks on Congress President Sonia Gandhi. Interacting with mediapersons here on Saturday, Vivekananda Reddy, brother of the late Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, said Jaganmohan would meet Sonia Gandhi and express regret. Vivekananda Reddy said every Congressman was hurt with the attacks on Sonia Gandhi in a one-hour programme and sought to suggest that Jagan may not have been aware of this. "I don't know what prompted the channel to telecast such a programme which had hurt the feelings of all Congressmen. It must have hurt the feelings of Jagan himself," said Vivekananda Reddy. Another report on Times Now channel said Jaganmohan might not meet the Congress President as per his personal assistant. Reportedly, Jaganmohan has also sent out feelers to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), even as he plans to visit the national capital for talks with Congress leaders, including Sonia Gandhi, A. K. Antony and Veerappa Moily next week. According to Congress sources, the picture on Jaganmohan Reddy's future with the party will be clear before or after Monday's meetings. On Saturday, Union Urban Development Minister S. Jaipal Reddy said Jaganmohan Reddy has violated the party's discipline by criticizing Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on his Sakshi television channel. He said that the party leadership is pondering over the case. Speaking to reporters, Jaipal Reddy said: "Jaganmohan Reddy has violated the party discipline and everyone knows that Sakshi TV is owned by him for his own political motives. This behaviour on his part is undesirable and the party High Command is looking into this matter and will take action in due course of time" Earlier, Sakshi, the 24-hour Telugu news channel owned by the 38-year-old son of late chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, had launched a frontal attack on Sonia Gandhi and the organisation in a one-hour programme. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was also targeted along with the "coterie around Sonia" for the "sorry state of affairs in Congress."
