Halle Berry takes on killer sharks for next film 'Dark Tide'

Halle Berry is not new to action in her movies - and this time is no different - as she prepares to take on great white killer sharks for her next film 'Dark Tide'. But the star looked totally at ease as she waited to film a scene at Seal Island in False Bay , South Africa , where she will be on location for several months. Her role in 'Dark Tide' is that of a diving instructor who returns to deep waters after a near-fatal encounter with one of the predators. False Bay is the perfect shooting spot - sharks flock to the area due to the high number of seals to feed on during breeding season. The film crew are believed to have permits from officials to attract sharks for cage diving. However, the filming has not gone down too well with conservationists. "After reading the script we decided it was not something we would like to put our names to," The Daily Express quoted Alison Kock, a shark conservationist at the Save Our Seas Foundation near Simon's Town, as saying. "Our mandate is to try to change people's perceptions of sharks. "But fighting off a shark, or surviving a shark attack - we couldn't see the positive side of that, as much as we tried," she added.
